Roger Owen: Is a mountaineer based in the North-East with much experience of climbing in Scotland, having completed the Munros and Corbetts, and a long history of climbing in far-flung places. He is a co-author of "Hostile Habitats", the natural history of Scottish mountains, and is Head of Ecology for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.
