NORTH EAST MOUNTAIN TRUST - WINTER LECTURES 2012-2013A Quality Future for Mountaineers and Hill-Walkers Thursday 8th November 2012Wilderness MedicineEric PirieEric will be explaining the differences between Street and Wilderness Medicine identifying the different priorities for Wilderness Medicine. He will consider the realities of what can be done in wilderness situations and describe the strategies that have to be adopted to deal with medical emergencies. Eric Pirie is an International Guide with a special interest in wilderness medicine. He has a long history of working with the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue team and is still an active member. He is currently Operations Director for Matterhorn Medical, a company which provides bespoke medical services for outdoor events both home and abroad.
