As with grouse moor management above, progress on implementing the recommendations of the deer management working group has been very slow. A team of snails would have moved faster! However, small changes have occurred. The CNPA has moved target deer densities in its partnership plan from 10/km2 to 5 – 8/km2, reflecting the recommended figure in the report. Although still too high, it does show that officials are starting to move.
