at 19 before starting summer and winter climbing. Best known for pushing
forward mixed climbing standards in Scotland in the 80s, he left Aberdeen
to work as a climbing instructor and live nearer the hills, and the North-West
in particular. Andy has written many of the recent SMC climbing guidebooks,
including the North-West, and has grown to love the area, both for climbing
and walking.
