The Cairngorm Mountains contain some of the finest glacial and mountain landforms in the world, in a relatively compact area. These features hold information about past environmental change and landscape evolution over millions of years, through periods of tropical, ice age and modern temperate climates.

Helen Howe is an experienced geographer tutor and a qualified Mountain Leader. She is passionate about the UK mountain environment and its geomorphology, and sharing her knowledge with others.
